Retail

Attendance across every outlet in one dashboard, one payroll file

Multiple outlets in different malls, part-time staff, split shifts and weekend rates. Consolidated into one live dashboard for head office and one WPS-ready payroll file for accounts.

  • Multi-outlet consolidation
  • Mall trading hours
  • Part-time staff by the hour
  • Live dashboard for head office

The problem with retail attendance

A retail chain runs shops in different malls with different trading hours, part-time staff who need paying by the hour, and a head office that needs to see everything in real time. A per-outlet spreadsheet does not scale past a handful of shops.

What we configure for a retail chain

Multi-outlet consolidation

Every outlet in one database and one live dashboard. Per-outlet payroll rolls up to one file for accounts.

Mall trading hours

Outlets follow the mall's trading window, not a company-wide default. Late closes and mid-shift breaks handled correctly.

Part-time and hourly staff

Hourly staff paid by actual hours worked at their configured rate, with a payroll file the payroll process can consume.

Weekend and public holiday rates

Higher rates applied automatically for weekend and public holiday shifts, per UAE Labour Law.

Live dashboard for head office

Who is in, who is late, which outlets have not opened. From head office or from a phone, live.

Manager alerts on late opens

If an outlet is not opened by a configurable time, a WhatsApp or email alert reaches the area manager immediately.

Things we plan around

1

How many outlets?

This decides the licence tier and the network topology. Under ten outlets we can use per-outlet terminals reporting to cloud. Above that we consider a central VPN and offline caching.

2

Mall versus street outlets

Mall outlets follow the mall's trading window. Street outlets follow their own. We configure per-outlet windows so alerts fire on the right rules.

3

Casual staff turnover

Retail has high casual staff turnover. RFID cards for casuals plus biometrics for permanent staff is a common configuration.

4

Cash desk versus stock room

Access control on the stock room and cash desk, attendance for everyone. One terminal can drive both if wired for it at installation.

Retail attendance questions

Can we see every outlet in one dashboard?

Yes. One database, one live dashboard, per-outlet payroll rolling up to one file. Head office sees everything; outlet managers see only their own team.

How do we handle mall trading hours?

Each outlet is configured with its own trading window. Alerts and shift rules fire against that window, not a company-wide default.

How do we pay part-time staff by the hour?

Set each employee as hourly at their rate. The software calculates pay from actual hours worked and produces the file for payroll.

What terminal is right for a mall outlet?

Face recognition is our default: contactless, fast at the morning open and end-of-day close. Fingerprint terminals are cheaper and available where preferred.

Do we get alerted if an outlet does not open?

Yes. If no clock-in is recorded by a configurable time, a WhatsApp or email alert reaches the area manager.
